Every life changed begins with hope.

“Do you have any appointments available today?”

The question came from a distressed mother who walked into our center one morning.

“I think my daughter is pregnant,” she said. “I’m picking her up from school and bringing her here if you can see her.”

Our schedule was already full, but sometimes you don’t just make room in the calendar. You make room for a life.

Later that day, the pregnancy test confirmed what they feared. During a private conversation with one of our Client Advocates, the young woman shared something startling:

“I already knew I was pregnant. I ordered abortion pills online. They’re in my bedroom right now. But I’m a new Christian, and I prayed that if God didn’t want me to take them, I would get caught.”

Our advocate gently shared God’s love, His plan for life, and the hope available through Christ.

That day, she chose life.

Months later, she delivered a beautiful baby. Today, that child is surrounded by a loving family: parents, grandparents, and a support system walking this journey together.

Recently, I saw a photo of that precious baby. As I looked at that smiling face, I couldn’t help but think: just months earlier, abortion pills sat within reach. Humanly speaking, that picture might never have existed.

But because a mother made an appointment, because a young woman prayed, because a center was available, and because supporters like you gave, that child is here today.

This is why Sav-A-Life Shelby exists. Every pregnancy test, every ultrasound, every gospel conversation, every volunteer hour, and every dollar given creates an opportunity for hope to be found and life to be chosen.

If that little child could speak today, I believe the message would be simple:

“Thank you for giving me a chance at life.”
